Mastering

Andi Lee is an experienced sound engineer who has worked on many releases in several genres, including, Folk, Metal, Indie, and Electronica.

Good mastering is more than just about setting volumes, it’s about understanding the requirements of different media (Streaming/Vinyl/Cassette/CD etc) and making the right choices to ensure that your music and audio sounds the best that it can. We use professional, state of the art, industry standard equipment to meet the standards of modern production. We can master for Cassette, Vinyl and Streaming services and for CD, including creating DDP masters for manufacturing delivery.

Mixing

Mixing an album or song is about translating what the artist hears in their head into the sound that they hear on playback. It’s about achieving balance, dynamics and a sound that is pleasant to listen to without tiring the ear or distracting from the experience. We’ve worked on releases from Death Metal to Folk, via Rock, Jazz, Electronica and Ambient.

Our equipment is industry standard. We use UAD Apollo interfaces, and are able to work from projects in Ableton, Pro-Tools and Logic Pro and have a huge selection of plugins available in case you want to use something specific.

We want to make you sound good, and we have long experience in working with artists who may not know exactly what they want, but will know it when they hear it.

Production

We love to collaborate, arrange, recompose, remix, and if needed rewriting and recording! We can help you get an idea into a recorded song, or take a demo and make it sound professional, as well as help you with songwriting arrangements, audio editing, instrument re-amping and more. Let us know what you need. We can even edit your podcast for you.

Audio Repair

We combine state of the art technology and experience with post-production and audio cleanup techniques to be able to rescue damaged audio. From cleaning up hiss and deterioration in old recorded material to more complex audio rebalance and dialogue post production, we can tackle it. This is a complex area and results may vary depending on the source material, but we’ll give you an honest evaluation and quote based on the likelihood of success.

Artwork preparation

Your album artwork is the first impression people will have of your release, make sure you get it right! We can help you with layout and ensuring everything fits on the template correctly, and advise you on what will and won’t work on various formats.

I’ve worked with Andi on a few projects now, and I have to say he’s one of the most solid, professional pair of hands & ears that I’ve come across.
